A functioning practical pistol chambered in .22, .380, .38 Special, or 9mm.

Whatever firearm you plan on shooting regularly is the one you should bring. Of course you are welcome to bring several options if you are unsure on which pistol you want to start on.

Belt, Holster, and Mag Pouches:

We understand that everyone has different goals in mind when they begin their training journey, if you have a holster please bring it, whether it is for carrying or for training it doesn’t matter. My goal is to get you training on the gear you plan on using, if you don’t have a holster but one to purchase one for the class, I am happy to get on the phone with you and discuss some options for you to look at. A holster, belt, and mag pouches are not required to take this class.

What to Wear:

Seasonally appropriate attire is recommended, please check the weather report before attending, it’s always a smart idea to bring some extra clothing if the weather changes. Wear comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, no heels please. When it comes to tops, I always suggest something with a high neck to avoid brass falling into your shirt, if chilly out bring some layers like sweatshirts and jackets that restrict the wind from cutting through. Bottoms wise, shorts in the summer are always appropriate, for winter months it’s always a good idea to bring/wear long johns under your pants and wool socks.

Class duration:

We are slotted for a 6 hour class, however we will not be training for 6 hours straight.

We have accounted for needs like short breaks, lunch, extra time w students (if needed,) to insure you know we will not be going over 6 hours on the range at the most.

Lunch:

We will not have lunch available for you, you must bring your own. Snacks are always a good idea, too.

Hydration:

It is vitally important you stay hydrated during our training, electrolytes are always a good idea, too. We will be on our feet for most of our time together, so just keep that in mind!

We recommend hydrating 24 hours before hitting the range.
